How are you doing, Jonathan?

I'm Robert, remember me? I have been Auburn for a month, and I think I am doing well so far. Generally speaking, this is a good school but lack of entertainment (I mean it!). Anyway, I bought a used car and had an additional $500 discount by using the magic word "negotiable?" you taught. It really works!! Moreover, I just defeated a guy from India to receive an offer of a RA position (YES!!!!) to work on avoidance of collision. The most dramatic part is: This funding is offered by a professor in the CSEE Dept., and I am admitted in the ECE Dept. Somehow you will never know does it work out if you never try. Also, I met Allan, the student who used to be in oxford, and he is going to graduate in this summer. Maybe he will find some time to see you!

How is the study group doing? Are the members still growing? It reminds me that you are sending some student to Auburn this fall. Well, in my point of view, the funding of Auburn University is not as abundant as you mentioned to me. At least not the case in the ECE Dept. They enrolled too many students (30s up) last fall semester, and there are still some PhD students are with no available funding. In contrast, CSEE Dept. seems have more funding opportunities. The chairperson of CSEE is a Taiwanese professor. I met him in the lunar new year party. I think he is very kind to students, and he told me the graduate school students of CSEE Dept. are not plenty to the need. Maybe it's the reason why the professor would look for RA in my department.

Last but not the least, thank you for introducing this awesome school to me. Have a good time in the lunar New Year! Congratulations, you cultivated a good student =)
